Countless studies have demonstrated that music has the power to:

  • Release dopamine, a "feel good" chemical that enables us to feel happiness, excitement and joy
  • Strengthen our hearts and improve the recovery time of patients suffering from heart disease
  • Reduce stress, boost the immune system & reduce pain
  • Reduce depression & anxiety while improving sleep
Studies have also demonstrated that music with a quick tempo, played in a major key made people feel happy, while music with a slow tempo, in a minor key more easily led to feelings of sadness.

To make the most of your MindSavvy experience please find yourself seated comfortably in a quiet space where you won't be disturbed for about 10 minutes. We also advise that you pop in a pair of your favorite headphones to help eliminate any outside distractions.

Then allow yourself to relax. For these next few minutes you have nowhere else to be, and nothing else to do. Remember, there is no right or wrong, and no good or bad. So leave the judgments aside and allow yourself these next few minutes to engage. Your body and mind will thank you for it.
